William Cullen Loveland, 57, of Scranton, died Tuesday at home.
Born in Allentown, son of the late William Reese Loveland and Eileen Anne Cullen Loveland, he was a 1985 graduate of North Pocono High School and a 1987 Graduate of Penn State University Worthington Campus where he received an Associates Degree in Business. He worked for several years in office supply sales and customer service, most recently with Staples in Dickson City.
He was an avid sports fan; a New York Yankees fan and specifically enjoyed major and minor league baseball. He was described as a sports trivia expert by those close to him. He also would walk at lake Scranton frequently.
Surviving are three sisters Eileen Cordero, Allentown, Joan Whittaker, Stuarts Draft, VA, Annette Loveland Lucas, Pittsburgh; nephews Jason Whittaker, Joseph Whittaker, Kevin Warren, Jeremy Loveland; nieces Laura Mattavi, Kathryn Salley, Abigail Lucas; and five great nephews and nieces, Hannah Whittaker, Olivia Warren, Carson Loveland, Noah Mattavi and Violet Mattavi.
He was preceded in death recently by his brother Kenneth William Loveland of Old Town, FL
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his work family at Staples and his beloved nephews who he cherished.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family and are entrusted to Corey Brian Strauch Funeral Home, Scranton
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Scranton Food Bank United Neighborhood Centers, 410 Olive Street, Scranton, PA 18509.
