Teresa M. “Terri” Neureuter, 81 a life long resident of Scranton, passed away Thursday evening, February 22, 2024, at the Dunmore Health Care Center, surrounded by family. Her husband of 37 years was the late Francis “Frank” Neureuter, who passed away March 22, 1999.
Born in Scranton daughter of the late James and Mary Roberts she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. She worked in the catalog department of Sears and for many years until her retirement she was a bank teller at Penn Security Bank, East Scranton branch.
Terri loved to have fun. She would frequently break out into song and dance around. She loved to shop, especially on QVC, for new home décor, clothes and shoes. She always had her hair and nails done. She was an avid reader and would tell you about new books that she discovered. Terri also enjoyed going out with her friends and family. She particularly enjoyed getting ice cream in the summertime. Her favorite color was green, and she also loved anything tie dye. In the last several years of her life, her cat companion, Bob, was by her side.
Surviving are her daughter, Susan Blackledge and husband Ronald; two sons Joseph Neureuter and wife Mary, Christopher Neureuter and wife Tina; grandchildren Laura, Ronald and wife Stacey, Tiffany and husband John, Chloe, and Ivy; great grandchildren Ashley, John and Kane.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00am in Immaculate Conception Church, 801 Taylor Ave, Scranton, PA 18510. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery Scranton.
A visitation will be held Monday from 9-10am in the church.
