Robert George Perles

Robert George Perles, 92, of Scranton, passed away Wednesday in Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. He wife, Maryann Nodich Perles, passed way in 2008. The couple was married 70 years.

Born in Mount Carmel son of the late George and Ann Donkochik Perles he was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School and Dickinson College in 1953. He then went on to serve in the United Sates Air Force. After moving to Scranton he was the Bar Manager for the Hotel Jerymn for many years. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and a big sports fan rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles, Notre Dame, the Phillies and the Boston Red Socks.

Surviving are daughters Robin Johnson, Danville, Debbie Ortona, Kulpmont; a son Michael Perles and wife Kelly, Scranton; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Burial will be private in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg, PA.
