Ann Marie Woelkers Coolbaugh, 79, a lifelong resident of Scranton, passed away Sunday evening at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. She was the widow of William Smith, who died in 1974; Brinton Richards, who died in 1994; and Phillip Coolbaugh, who passed away in 2014.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Robert and Agnes Guy Woelkers, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. She was most proud of being a homemaker but also worked as a cashier for 20 years at LaSalle Oil Company, located at the corner of Luzerne Street and Railroad Avenue. She was a member of the former Nativity of Our Lord Parish.
Surviving are her daughters Robin Lesh of Scranton, and Marla Demich and husband Joe Jr. of Duryea; brother, William Woelkers and wife Bernadette of Scranton; three grandchildren, Dr. Randy Lesh, Ryan Lesh, and Joseph Demich III; as well as other family members, including stepchildren Phillip Coolbaugh, Cheryl Benmoussa, and Kevin Coolbaugh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10am in St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, 1217 Prospect Avenue, Scranton, PA 18505. Interment will follow in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Covington Township.
A visitation will be held Thursday from 9-10am in the church.
