Marjorie Louise Loomis Bolin died Friday evening, September 7, in ManorCare Nursing Home, Bethlehem. She is the widow of the late Arthur Bolin, who died April 13, 1984. The couple shared 41 years of marriage until Arthur’s passing.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Swallow Loomis. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. She worked as a secretary for the former Hotel Casey and the former Moses Taylor Hospital. She was a member of the former Spring Brook United Church of Christ.
Surviving are a daughter April Zielinski and husband Martin of Moore Twp., Pa; a son David and wife Maggie of Audubon, Pa; a brother John Loomis of Scranton; grandchildren Todd Zielinski, Neil Spoonhower and wife Brennan, Marisa Zielinski Werkheiser and husband Ken, Dr. Michelle Zielinski, Meghan Buckley, Jennifer Bolin, Laura Bolin and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son Corey Bolin, daughter Leslie Bolin Hicks, grandson Jason Spoonhower, and brother Dr. James Loomis.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Corey Brian Strauch Services, LLC funeral home location, 602 Birch Street Scranton, PA 18505.
