Jeanne Washer
Jeanne M Washer, 86, a lifelong resident of Scranton, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Riverstreet Manor Wilkes-Barre PA where she has been a resident for the past 5 months.
Jeanne was born July 28, 1929 to the late Raymond S Washer and Edith Reisenauer Washer. She was the granddaughter of the late Edward and Ann Washer and the late Edward and Maria Reisenauer. She was a 1947 graduate of Scranton Technical High School and attended Wharton School Extension University of PA. She was employed by Northeastern Bank (formerly First Natl Bank & now PNC Bank) for 36 years until her retirement in 1992. Jeanne was a member of the Cross Valley Assembly of God Church in Forty Fort, Pa for more than 45 years also serving as Church secretary for many years.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy E Washer in July 2007.
She is survived by her friend and caregiver Marie Kane and husband Christopher Kingston.
Friends are invited to call Sunday 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cross Valley Assembly of God Church, 14 West Turner Street, Forty Fort. Service will immediately follow with the Reverend Sando Piccione Officiating.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cross Valley Assembly or to the Charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements entrusted to Corey Brian Strauch Services LLC, 602 Birch Street, Scranton, PA 18505.
