Harriet Garfinkel Mandelman, 82, of Scranton, died Thursday in Hospice of the Sacred Hearts, Dunmore. She is the wife of Morton Mandelman. The couple had been married 58 years.
Born in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late George and Renee Moskowitz Garfinkel she was a graduate of Jefferson High School, Brooklyn. She enjoyed writing short stories and poems.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters Donna DePaul and husband Roy, Palm Springs, California, Susan Wolff and husband Peter, Lords Valley, PA, Lisa Mandelman, Westport, Connecticut; three grandchildren Jessica, Brittany, Jared; two great grandchildren Savannah and Brody.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Corey Brian Strauch Services, LLC, funeral home location, 602 Birch Street, Scranton, PA 18505.
