George Alfred Drumheller Sr., 78, of Scranton, passed away Wednesday morning in the Gardens at Green Ridge, Scranton. His wife of 26 years, Beverly Galka Drumheller, passed away July 21, 2010.
Born in Bloomsburg son of the late George and Alice Drumheller he was raised in foster care by Weldin and Ruth Roberts in Pleasant Twp. He worked as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed going to the casino, camping, traveling, dressing up for holidays for the grandchildren. He always had a smile on his face and had a great sense of humor.
Surviving are his children Tammy Whitmire, Berwick, Eric Drumheller, Conshohocken, Clayton Drumheller and wife DeAnna, Scranton, George Drumheller Jr, Huston, TX, Jeffrey Drumheller, Danville, Dawn Drumheller, Montandon; brothers Berton Drumheller, Ohio, Robert Drumheller, Danville, John Roberts, Mt. Pleasant Twp., Dean Roberts, Mt. Pleasant Twp.; sisters Jane Roberts Danville, Mary Kay Wray Danville; grandchildren Nicole Matthews, Eric Diehl, MackenzieDrumheller, Kyle Drumheller, Dakota Barnes, Kyle Roberts, Benjamin Drumheller, Ketty Drumheller, Kayla Drumheller; four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings William Drumheller, Glovene Farver, Mary Brown and Dave Roberts.
The funeral will be Monday at 12 Noon in the Corey Brian Strauch Funeral Home, 602 Birch Street, Scranton, PA 18505 with services by the Rev. Lorrie Loughney. Interment to follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Taylor.
The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 11 until the time of services.

He always had a story to share with me about his truck driving experiences. Strong man straight shooter. His advice was always spot on. He is a great person. I will miss both he and his wife.
