Ann Mae Judge

Ann Mae Judge, 83, a lifelong resident of Scranton, formerly of Lake Scranton Road, passed away peacefully Wednesday ,at the Allied Terrace. She is the widow of the late Robert P. Judge who died August 30, 2003. The couple was married for 49 years.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Richard P. and Mary Rooney Huddy, she was a graduate of Scranton Central High School. She then went on to attend Lackawanna Business College. For 33 years, until her retirement in 2005, she worked in the Scranton School District as a clerk in the medical room; mostly at the East Scranton Intermediate School. She was past president of the Oakmont Neighborhood Association, Past President of the SEIU, Past President of the PTA at Audubon School. She was a Democratic Committee Woman, Ward 7 and the Lackawanna Democratic Women’s Association Woman of the year in 2012. She also was a former East Scranton Little League Board member. Ann enjoyed ceramics, the quilting club at ICC and talking with friends. She was a member of St. John Neumann Parish and attended the Nativity Church.

Surviving are a daughter Maureen Cerniglia and husband John, Liverpool, NY; five sons Patrick and wife Lynnette, New Orleans, Michael and wife Dianna, Clarks Summit, Joseph and wife Grace, Langhorne, Brian, Derry, NH, Robert and wife Ellen, Scranton; 15 grandchildren Colin, Danny and Timmy Cerniglia, Christopher, Ryan, Casey and Meghan Judge,, Nathan and Ashley, Colleen Judge, Matthew Judge, Morgan , T.J. and Carney Judge, Kelly and Alex Judge; a niece Sharon Stevens and nephew Richard Huddy.

She was preceded in death by three brothers Donald, Joseph and Richard Huddy.

The family would like to thank the staff of Allied Terrace and Dr. Anthony Wylie for the care shown to Ann over the past years.

The funeral will be Monday at 8:45 am from the Corey Brian Strauch Services, funeral home, 602 Birch Street, Scranton, PA 18505, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in the St. John Neumann Parish, Nativity Church, 633 Orchard Street, Scranton, PA 18505, to be celebrated by the Rev. Michael Bryant, pastor. Interment to follow in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Covington Twp.

A visitation will be held Sunday from 2-5pm in the funeral home.
