
Alan Jay Anderson, 67, a resident of Moosic, died Friday in Geisinger Community Center, Scranton.
Born in Wilkes-barre, son of Catherine Bednar Anderson, Wilkes-barre and the late Floyd Anderson, he was a graduate of Coughlin High School. Alan worked for Golden Technology, Laflin as a warehouseman. He was also served with the Merchant Marines.
Alan was a hard working man who loved his family. He was a generous man who impacted everyone he ever met. He was loved by everyone who knew him.
Surviving are a daughter Samantha Anderson Rowan, Dickson City; a son Bryan Anderson, Moosic; sisters Patricia Pevec, Beverly Smith, Kathleen Bell, Deborah Kotolski, Tina Siglin, Linda Corcoran, Mary Goyne; brothers Floyd Mark and Paul Anderson; grandsons Kaden Rowan and Lars Anderson and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:00am in the Corey Brian Strauch Services, funeral home location, 602 Birch Street, Scranton, Pa 18505. Interment to follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea.
A visitation will be held Monday from 4-7pm in the funeral home.
